Cleaning Cushion
Cushions made from 100% polyethylene (PE) are highly durable, water-resistant, and easy to maintain. The herringbone pattern adds texture and style but may require extra attention to keep it clean and looking its best. Follow these care instructions to extend the lifespan of your cushions.
Remove Dust and Debris
Regularly shake out or vacuum cushions using a brush attachment to remove dust and dirt, especially in the textured herringbone pattern. A soft brush can also help dislodge debris trapped in the weave.
Spot Clean Stains
For small spills or stains, immediately blot the affected area with a clean, dry cloth. Use a mild soap and warm water solution to gently wipe the stain with a soft cloth or sponge, avoiding harsh scrubbing that may damage the texture. Rinse with clean water and air-dry completely.
Deep Clean When Necessary
For a thorough cleaning, wipe down the entire cushion with a cloth or soft brush dipped in warm, soapy water. For textured areas, use a soft-bristled brush to reach dirt lodged in the herringbone pattern. Rinse with clean water and let the cushion air-dry fully before use.
Protect Against Weather and UV Exposure
While 100% PE cushions are designed to withstand outdoor conditions, prolonged exposure to sunlight and moisture can cause fading or weakening over time. Store cushions in a dry, shaded area when not in use or use protective covers to extend their lifespan.
Prevent Mold and Odors
PE cushions resist mold and mildew, but moisture trapped in the weave can still lead to odor buildup. Ensure cushions are completely dry before storing them. If mildew develops, clean with a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air-dry in direct sunlight.
Maintain Shape and Texture
To keep cushions looking their best, rotate and fluff them regularly to prevent uneven wear. The herringbone pattern can collect dirt more easily, so inspect textured areas frequently and clean as needed.
